Mael Designs Artist Portfolio

My name is Mael Cabarrus. Above is a small compilation of some of my early and current work. What I make is ever evolving. While I am currently making leather earrings and selling them exclusively at the What's Blooming on Harrison Festival, that may not be the case at the next event. I am self-taught and love the process of trial and error when learning a new skill. I pull inspiration from my experiences and anything tangible that catches my eye. For a nutshell version about me: my formal education consist of a performing arts bachelor's degree from UIC and a master's degree in education from Roosevelt University. I am an Army veteran. One of ten children, the eighth born to Ernie and Evangeline. Not big into online commerce when it comes to my art, but I know it is the way of the world. I am slowly giving into it. I cherish a personal touch when sharing my work. I value quality over quantity any day. ~ Mael
